Hi, I’m Erica, and I believe in human-centered design for a better world.
I can make visually stunning digital products, but more important is the research that goes into every design decision.
I've worked in design since 2010 with a heavy focus in federal products, and also have experience in the private sector and as a freelancer. I’ve worked hard to become a versatile creative leader, and learn every step of the design process. I'm responsible for project management tasks like creating project plans and roadmaps, planning and conducting research, analyzing data gained from user feedback, and creating action items to iterate on products with profound impact. I've brought disconnected product teams together through CX workshops that align us all on user and stakeholder goals, because I know that a united and informed product team delivers a better, human-centered solution.
Groups with clear communication, an understanding of stakeholder and user needs, and shared information build effective and intuitive products. It is my goal and passion to create accessible, human-centered experiences with teams that have solid relationships internally and with our clients. With frequent and open feedback, we're able to discover and address our weaknesses, and capitalize on and develop our strengths. Before we can solve a problem, we must thoroughly understand it—and the people the solution will serve.
When I'm not trying to build better digital products for the future, you can find me partner dancing, painting with gouache and watercolor, hosting D&D/game night, taking an improv class, or working on my fantasy novel. I am absolutely a cat person.
