Presentation and Panel Discussion, "Accessibility is for Everyone: Moving Beyond 508 Compliance"
March 2024, ECS Tech | Core Value Award for Drive
Awarded for encouraging my team to push hard through the end of a challenging project, and to keep moving forward through obstacles. Kept the team focused on our goals, and honored the commitment to doing all we could to achieve them. This award also acknowledges questioning the status quo while building on what is already known, while learning and growing in service to our customers and each other. The corresponding project involved changing requirements, tight deadlines, and communicating clearly with business analysts, developers, stakeholders, and our client.
January 2024, ECS Tech | Elected as Event Planner, and Later President, for ADAPT ERG
Was elected to the ADAPT (Abled and Disabled Allies Partnering Together) employee resource group board. Worked with fellow officers to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion at the company by planning events to raise disability awareness, conducting feedback sessions with members, and working with senior leadership to further understand and promote group members' needs.
December 2019, Dovel Technologies | Star Award
Awarded for continued efforts to educate company leaders on UX and UI design, and corresponding presentation, "UX vs. UI." Previously, the company had not distinguished between the two, and after this presentation, considered growing our design maturity and knowledge to be solid business strategy.
