Cyber Ranger program brand identity

The Cyber Ranger program is comprised of volunteers, known as “cyber rangers,” who help new employees onboard at the Cybersecurity Divisions (CSD) of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). I went through many iterations to get to the final logo for this brand, and you can see the journey below. This federal client has to get approval from leadership and across multiple sectors, meaning I needed to present and update the graphic many times until we reached a final selection. A federal mission often involves many layers of approval, but was definitely worth it to deliver a final product that aligned with the client’s mission, existing branding, and my own design standards. I learned a lot about taking breaks during the concepting phase and sketching, as one of my brainstorming sessions definitely weighed heavily on me! You may be able to spot my frustration if you look for it.
